I Help People to Transform Their Childhood Trauma
When people ask what I do, the most simple and direct answer is that I help people to transform their childhood trauma. I do that using several therapeutic modalities. The Work (or Inquiry Based Stress Reduction), a practice created by Byron Katie, is great for questioning negative beliefs about yourself, others, and the world. IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a great way to get at the roots of childhood trauma. Using these together I can get to the roots of childhood trauma so that beliefs, self-doubts and insecurities can be resolved.
(***Because The Work in of itself is not considered therapy (although very therapeutic), I can use The Work across state lines and internationally. The Agreement that I have with clients across state lines and internationally is that I have to keep our process solely focused on The Work. Within California, I can do therapy and use other modalities within our process together. In other states and internationally, we agree to only doing The Work. ***)
Healing trauma is a journey to self-love. Depression, self-hate, and anxiety are symptoms of trauma and/or past unresolved emotional issues getting triggered. Along with these feelings, most people experience a sense of feeling small, which is a sure sign that a younger part has been activated. Through the work that we do, you will learn to be there and nurture these parts, helping them to have their feelings while you continue to live your life effectively. In this way, you will learn to be a good parent to yourself. This will positively affect all of your relationships.
