I enjoy working with all kinds of people. Doing work on past trauma, depression or anxiety is hard work, and I respect and admire people who are willing to do it. And, like physical health, mental health isn’t a one shot, once a week thing. I encourage clients to integrate self-care in whatever form makes sense to them. Life can be challenging. Things like anxiety and depression are not going to go away. What happens is that we change our relationship with them. When we feel anxious, we know what to do. When we feel depressed, it’s the same. Our culture tends to see these emotions as pathological. I see them as part of life, for all of us, me and you. It’s how we work with them that makes the difference. Hopefully, my work with you will help you to release past trauma and create a more understanding, compassionate relationship with yourself. In this way, you can become a more understanding, compassionate person in your world, with your friends and family. That’s how our lives change. And, I believe, that’s how the world changes. We accept and change ourselves and then we can change our world. One part, one belief at a time.
